Attraverso la pubblicazione periodica di episodi indipendenti e/o collegati tra loro ON THE MAP! si propone di dare un luogo e un tempo a quei movimenti, correnti ed ere musicali che hanno plasmato la storia e l’identità di questo genere.

Il format si serve di una mappa interattiva che indica gli “Hot-Spot” nei quali si ambientano le vicende che hanno reso, gli artisti richiamati nei nostri articoli, protagonisti della storia passata e presente.

Ogni “HotSpot” e’ geo-localizzato su una mappa digitale, i dati vengono incrociati in base a diversi indicatori, tra cui la cronologia, la “parentela” e la “discendenza” dei generi musicali.

Grazie a ON THE MAP! E’ possibile visualizzare in concreto quali luoghi hanno segnato la storia e sono stati la fucina culturale dei dischi che sono rimasti indelebili nell’immaginario collettivo.

ON THE MAP! is an editorial project designed to build an interactive map of rap music.

An overview through the reviews of the albums that have assumed the role of “game changers“, creators of new patterns, currents and musical paradigms.

Through the periodic publication of independent and / or linked episodes “ON THE MAP!” aims to give a place and a time to those musical movements, currents and eras that have shaped the history and identity of this genre.

The albums are told through historical information, indiscretions, curiosities and anecdotes linked mainly to the places lived and populated by the artists protagonists of each episode.

The format uses an interactive map that indicates the “Hot-Spots” in which the events that have made, the artists mentioned in our articles, protagonists of past and present history take place.
