Si parte con CORDAE e LIL WAYNE una coppia incredibile, il primo tecnica e punchline il secondo icona vocale, entrambi con una finalità HIP HOP comune. Torna la combo THE LOX e MOBB DEEP con STYLES P & HAVOC, uniti in un album oscuro che è crema underground.

COZZ diretto dal team Dreamville regala una EP solido, sia nei beats che nella scrittura.

Nuovo EP pure per il buon CURRENSY che si fa produrre da CASH FARGO per la Jet Life Records.

Due grossi album per NARDO WICK con produzioni alte da TAY KEITH a MURDA BEATZ passando per HIT BOY fino a BOI 1DA.

Altro album molto denso è quello di MACH HOMMY dopo il contratto con Griselda. Torna anche BLXST ed il suo talento Soul/HIP HOP ormai già consacrato su album importantissimi negli ultimi due anni, tra cui “King desease 2” di NAS.

Il “La” per questa nuova playlist è stato il brano “I deserve” di Smino; atmosfera devastante che porta nuova aria dal Missouri e più precisamente dalla stessa cricca di JID, Guapdad 4000 e Zoink Gang, insieme alla nuova traccia “Private Phones” di FBG Goat e Young Thug, altamente autunnale.

Sulla stessa falsa riga di Smino arriva l’album di un altro talento che avevamo già conosciuto un paio di settimane fa ed è Smiley da Toronto. Non si può non citare anche il nuovo singolo di Rick Ross con 21 Savage sulla produzione di un rinvigorito Araab Muzik.

Un autunno ancora leggermente tiepido e dal sole splendente per Anderson Paak che col suo gruppo Silk Sonic porta un album pieno di ispirazione e citazioni Soul/Funk tanto da ospitare nella traccia che abbiamo messo in playlist il buon Bootsy Collins, diretto dalla scuola P-Funk di fine anni ’70.

A portare invece l’inverno in anticipo sono invece Lil Reese da Chicago e Duke Deuce che non fa mancare Memphis sulla mappa settimanale. Il producer Clams Casino dalla costa East si riafferma concretamente dopo aver portato il sound di ASAP Rocky in altissimo qualche anno fa nel suo debutto mescolando NYC e Houston.

E’ arrivato il momento di far parlare solo la musica.

We have prepared the soundtrack for this phase of full autumn and rainy days.

The “A” for this new playlist was the song “I deserve” by Smino; devastating atmosphere that brings new air from Missouri and more precisely from the same clique as JID, Guapdad 4000 and Zoink Gang, along with the new highly autumnal track “Private Phones” by FBG Goat and Young Thug.

Along the same lines as Smino comes the album of another talent we had already met a couple of weeks ago and it is Smiley from Toronto. Cannot fail to also mention the new single by Rick Ross with 21 Savage on the production of an invigorated Araab Muzik.

An autumn still slightly warm with a shining sun for Anderson Paak who with his group Silk Sonic brings an album full of inspiration and Soul / Funk quotes so much to host in the track that we have put in the playlist the good Bootsy Collins, directed by the P-Funk school from the late 1970s.

On the other hand, Lil Reese from Chicago and Duke Deuce from Memphis brings the winter earlier.

East coast producer Clams Casino reaffirms himself after taking the ASAP Rocky sound to the top a few years ago in his debut era, mixing NYC and Houston.

Eccoci al quarto episodio consecutivo di CORNER WEEKLY PLAYLIST.

La settimana e’ stata piena di novità, ovviamente  solo per chi ha avuto la volontà di cercare e godersi le hit più fresche, per farsi accompagnare dal sound durante le fatiche quotidiane.

Dentro e fuori dalla periferia, per schizzare al lavoro o iniziare i propri affari, sul treno o sulla metro, in macchina o sul bus, con gli auricolari nelle orecchie e il ghigno di chi verrà coccolato da nuovi beats e nuove rime.

Con un misto di sensazioni speciale c’è il lavoro di una coppia ormai testata più volte come quella di CURRENSY & HARRY FRAUD.

DEREZ DE’SHON e MORRAY è un qualcosa che ci ha caricato a pallettoni.

Storie di quotidiano senza fronzoli, con parecchi motivazione verso il domani ed uno stile fresco ma sempre con un grado di credibilità altissimo.

Per il gran party al club o anche nella propria stanzetta FRENCH MONTANA ha tirato fuori un singolo devastante, gran merito va a BOI 1DA che ha prodotto quel beat rompicollo.

Per i palati più amanti dell’underground c’è l’ormai coppia indissolubile WILLIE THE KID ed il producer V DON che sfornano EP su EP costantemente. Notevoli questa settimana anche JAY-Z, JADAKISS E CONWAY, PLANET ASIA, FASHWAN, EVIDENCE, SHEEK LOUCH, GRAPH, DJ SHAY, DOMO GENEIS, SIR VETERANO, RANSOM e BUN B.

Poi un pò di relax in rallenting con l’R’n’B del buon BJ THE CHICAGO KID per poi tornare verso la Detroit di BIG SEAN che porta versi in un EP tutto prodotto da HIT-BOY che ormai si sta candidando ferocemente a producer dell’anno.

ICEWEAR VEZZO è stato l’input per approfondire un focus sulla “new-generation” di quella zona che spesso viene mitizzata per il magico J DILLA.

Ancora troppo pochi parlano di questa nuova wave che si sta propagando nella città più importante del Michigan. Un sound che unisce influenze di L.A., e sapori South, con bassi imperiali e ritmiche che danno un senso di “nuova frontiera”.

Oltre il sopracitato esponente di questo movimento è d’obbligo nominare anche 42 DUGG, BABYFACE RAY, PEEZY e BANDGANG LONNIE, tra i tanti.

D’obbligo anche ricordare che a Detroit questa corrente di nuova generazione affonda le radici e convive con altri percorsi HIP HOP autoctoni, come nel caso del grande BIG SEAN o del sound underground di BOLDY JAMES.

In questi giorni grosse connessioni uniscono zone differenti degli States. DARK LO & HAVOC creano un melting pot tra Chicago e Queens Bridge, MUGGS e CRIMEAPPLE uniscono lo slang e il lifestyle di L.A. al “Latin Lingo” recuperando le origini colombiane dell’MC con la barba rossa. E’ notevole l’utilizzo di sample iconico di NINO BRAVO, cantante spagnolo 70s, utilizzato dal producer della SOUL ASSASSINS per creare un beat banger, nonostante sia drum-less. Il filone “Spanish” prosegue con una serie di “Istant Classics” prodotti dall’ottimo COOKIN SOUL, che presta i suoi beats per dei mix speziati con FREDDIE GIBBS, A$AP ROCKY, SNOOP DOGG E BEJO. Anche il “Dirty South” è caldissimo! L’album di DON TOLIVER , pupillo di TRAVIS SCOTT (che prese il ragazzo e lo butto’ dentro “Astroworld” consentendo il salto di qualità dell’artista), si fa sicuramente notare per freschezza. These days massive connections links different areas of the States. DARK LO & HAVOC create a melting pot between Chicago and Queens Bridge, MUGGS and CRIMEAPPLE combine L.A. slang and lifestyle to the “Latin Lingo” recovering the Colombian retail of the MC with the red beard. South also very hot for the joint album by LIL WAYNE & RICH THE KID and especially for CURRENSY‘s New Orleans which release an album entirely produced by 808 RAY and SMITTY BEATZ of the COOL’N’DRE gang (those who changed the game with the multi-platinum hit: Hustlin ‘). MEEK MILL and his Philly in the running to deliver this MC to history; he is young but since the things with RICK ROSS and freestyle SMACK DVD already seemed like a predestined one, now he is out with “Expansive Pain” and a host of producers at his side, from BOI 1DA to TAY KEITH passing through CARDO and FUSE 808.
